Artifact conservation can be technical and expensive, but is essential nonetheless to maximize the longevity of Oconee’s treasures!
Proceeds pay for ongoing building repair and maintenance, artifact storage area renovations, exhibit and display improvements, and much more, including special projects like the General Store Museum.

The Oconee History Museum’s Ancestors Gallery features photographs of our Oconee County ancestors.
The Ancestors Gallery is located around the perimeter of the museum gallery. Photograph submissions must feature Oconee County residents and be at least 50 years old.
Placement of each photograph in the Gallery is $25 per photo.
