Artifact Donations
We thank you for your interest in donating an artifact to Oconee History Museum for future generations to enjoy! Oconee History Museum considers artifacts pertinent to the diverse history and heritage of the geographic area of Oconee County, South Carolina. Other artifacts, not from Oconee, but representative or typical of an era in Oconee’s history will also be considered for use as exhibit props or educational tools, but will not be accepted into the permanent collection.
While we wish that we could accept all items, Oconee History Museum faces storage, funding, and staffing limitations that prevent us from doing so. Therefore, we appreciate your understanding and willingness to work with us.
Before bringing items to us, please read So You Want To Donate An Artifact? and complete the Proposed Artifact Donation Form. Please send the completed form to us prior to bringing items to our facility.
