Women’s Suffrage in Oconee County

August 26th marks the Centennial (or 100th Anniversary) of the 19th Amendment becoming a part of the US Constitution, allowing women the right to vote.

Assistant Curator Jennifer Moss will showcase the history of the Women’s Suffrage movement and show how women of South Carolina and Oconee were involved in the movement.
