Join us for our Lunch & Learn series.  Bring your lunch and learn about an interesting topic!

This month’s topic is why Cherokee history is still relevant.

Students in U.S. public schools have a very limited experience learning about other cultures, past or present. As a result, assumptions are made about those cultures that have led to misconceptions, disinformation, and stereotypes. The Cherokee experience in America represents a prime example of this problem. Learning their history offers an opportunity to broaden our perspective about others.
