J is for Jocassee

Debbie Fletcher, author of Whippoorwill Farewell and Images of America: Lake Jocassee, will tell the story of what it was like in the Jocassee Valley before Duke Power’s construction of the lake. Ms. Fletcher will share the wonderful memories of Attakulla Lodge, Jocassee Camp for Girls, and other anecdotes.

K is for Keowee
3-4pm
Jerry Vickery, author of The Forgotten Society of the Keowee River Valley, will examine the history of the people that lived in the rural, agricultural community that is now lost under the waters of Lake Keowee.
