Celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month at Oconee History Museum! First in our series of cultural programs is Author Juan Gonzalez.
Juan González, born in Mexico, holds a master’s degree in mathematical sciences from Clemson University and is the founder of Spanish Writers, South Carolina’s first bilingual and bicultural writing group. Spanish Writers seeks to explore beauty, culture, and history, with a mission to promote intercultural innovation through creative writing and community collaboration. In his stories, Juan delves into the roots of cultures, the complexities of immigration, and the diversity of ethnic groups in the U.S. His latest work, Gloria, is the first book in his series Roots (Raíces).
