Book Signing with Kate Salley Palmer

Join us for a Book Signing of Palmetto:  Symbol of Courage in conjunction with our temporary exhibit The Shaping of South Carolina on loan from the South Carolina Historical Society.

Palmetto: Symbol of Courage tells the story of South Carolina’s state tree.  The book explains how a tree helped win a battle in the Revolutionary War and why it appears on our state flag.

At 12pm Ms. Palmer will read Palmetto: Symbol of Courage and answer questions about the book
